Katey Sagal
Katey Sagal, a gifted and versatile
performer who could do comedy as well as drama, was an actor/singer who became
a household name in the 1980s when she played the role of Peg Bundy. She was
the eloquently outspoken, unorthodoxated Peg Bundy in Fox's Married... with
Children (1987). The show was awarded two American Comedy Awards as well as
three Golden Globes during the series' lengthy run. Peg Bundy's character was
popular and Katey continued to make a name for herself as a performer, not just
in sitcoms but performing roles that were completely different from the role
that brought her to the attention of. On Sons of Anarchy (2008) in which she
played the character of Gemma Teller Morrow. This was the Matriarch of the
Hell's Angels-like California biker gang. She won a Golden Globe Award 2011 for
her performance. Catherine Louise Sagal was the daughter of Sara Zwilling, a
singer and Boris Sagal, a noted director of film and television. Los Angeles
native Catherine Louise Sagal began singing at the age of five. She went to
school for acting and voice at the California Institute of the Arts. A singing
waitress in her "salad" years She began performing with the band
"The Group With No name," then caught a break when she connected with
Gene Simmons and his 1970s rock group KISS. She also gained valuable
experiences as a backup singer for Simmons and other stars such as Bob Dylan
and Etta James. In the role of one of Bette Midler's "Harlettes", she
was also dynamic when she performed live with her in Betteās avant-garde stage
shows that took place in the late 1970s to the early 1980s.
