born in Los Angeles in 1970. Her parents relocated to Dallas within a short
time after her birth. She was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School,
Performing and Visual Arts situated within the Arts District. She completed her
BFA in acting from Stephens College, and also went to the British American
Drama Academy. She was a part of the Dallas Theatre Center as well as one year
with Encore Company. Before her big screen debut, she started her acting career
in theaters. Her stage credits include "As You Like It", “A Funny
Things Happened on the Way to the Forum” "Measure for Measure", and
"Chicago" along with as numerous other productions. Her first big
break came when she starred alongside Angelina Jolie in Michael Cristofer's
acclaimed HBO television series Gia (1998) making her famous to critics and
viewers alike. After that, she starred in the sci-fi time travel adventure
Frequency (2000) featuring Dennis Quaid and Neil LaBute's highly anticipated
Nurse Betty (2000) opposite Renee Zellweger, Elizabeth showed her charismatic
acting talents. Elizabeth Mitchell has many credits in TV series, theaters and
films. She has continued to be an exceptional actor. When she was the filming
of Frequency (2000), she broke her nose. In 1994, she did a Hertz Rent-A-Car
commercial but "they pulled it due to the O.J. thing." In 1995, she
lived with her boyfriend David Lee Smith (ex-Brent on the soap One Life to Live
(1968)) on Manhattan's Upper West Side. They live in Dallas with their parents
who are tax and real estate lawyers. After playing Rosalind in "As You
Like It" for several years Rosalind returned to the U.S. Her birthplace
was in Los Angeles in 1970. Her parents later relocated to Dallas in Texas. In
1991, she graduated from Booker T. Washington High School which is a school for
Visual and Performing Arts, situated in the Arts District of Dallas. She
received her degree from Stephens College in 1991 and was awarded a Fine Arts
Degree. She was in Man and Boy (2002) together with Ioan Gruffudd. The show was
telecast on BBC 1 TV in March 2002.
