Priyanka Chopra Biography

Priyanka was born in Jamshedpur (India) on July 18, 1982. Chopra was crowned Miss India in her high school, and later was awarded Miss World 2000. On the heels of that international popularity, Chopra turned her sights towards the world of film and soon became a major player within the Bollywood system. American television saw her make waves with Quantico the FBI thriller. It was on air between 2015 and 2018. She was also an extremely popular Bollywood star through her marriage to actor Nick Jonas. Her first Bollywood film, The Hero: Love Story of a Spy, in 2003. In the same year, she also appeared in the film Andaaz. It was the start of a series of films , which comprised Plan, Kismat (a romantic comedy about spying), Asambhav, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Aitrazz, and Asambhav -- all of which came out in 2004. While the majority of these films did poorly at the box office, Chopra found success with the romantic comedy Mujhse Shaadi Karogi. Chopra was just 20 when she was the first actress to make her film debut in Thamizhan in 2002. She followed up that year with Jeet born to Win. Chopra declared that her debut was an unpleasant experience. "I wanted it to be over after I was done with it!" I was confused about what I was doing." Nick Jonas and actress Chopra went public about their romance in the summer of 2018. The couple announced their engagement in July. Jonas is reported to have proposed on Chopra’s 36th birthday. The couple married in an extravagant wedding that began on December 1, 2018.
